Apple has just introduced many new features for its iOS 5, as well as complimentary cloud storage. Google just introduced a new touch and pay program for their Android phones last week. What about the third major player? What has RIM been up to?

This lone office building on their new campus is said to look like some sort of spaceship, according to CEO Steve Jobs. Apple currently houses 12,000 Cupertino area employees at its Infinite Loop headquarters, and other nearby buildings. The plan is to keep the existing facilities, but add additional space for employees.
This new building will only be four stories tall, according to Jobs, but is intended to hold 12,000 employees. Jobs says that although that seems a bit odd, it is necessary for Apple to keep up with growth.
When it comes to tracking, RFID chips may be as good as chocolate cake. So, what if this chip was located inside the cake?
Hannes Harms, a London art student has developed the NutriSmart system, including an RFID chip you can eat. Upon eating the food that contained the chip, information concerning the food is sent to either a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone or a personal computer.
California residents can purchase a typical 22-inch LCD television on Wal-Mart’s website for $214. Those same residents can purchase that very same television on Amazon.com for $194. What’s the difference? That’s easy, it’s sales tax. The fact is that Wal-Mart is required to collect it while Amazon is not.
Federal and state lawmakers are beginning to think that this reprieve from sales-tax is no longer needed.
