If it Plug into a Wall, It’s an Acceptable Item for Electronics Recycling
Southeastern Data accepts working and non-working computers and electronic devices for e-recycling. If the devices contain electronic circuitry, plugs into the wall and is considered a technology device we can accept it for e-recycling. We accept household items, office equipment, machinery, and all types of equipment and devices, old or new.

Is there a cost?
General recycling is FREE
How many items can I bring for recycling?
There is no limit. We encourage you to recycle as much as you have in your home, business, school, organization or around you.
Can I recycle hair dryers or curling irons?
Do you recycle the CRTs, Big Tube televisions or monitors?
NO, we are not accepting any CRT TUBE Monitors or Televisions at this time.
What can we recycle?

Do you take appliances?
Yes, Small house hold appliances
Is there anything I need to do to my computer before I recycle it?
Yes, wipe it down and clean it from dust. Remove any CDs or DISCs in your drives. Include the plugs and wires if you are no longer in need of them.
Do I need to erase or clean the hard-drive before e-recycling or set it back to factory settings?
You can, but it is not necessary. Southeastern Data follows the strict guidelines of the Department of Defense and NIST for data erasure and sanitization .
What happens to all the data on any device I recycle?
Data on any device is either erased, sanitized or destroyed.
Will you remove all my files, documents or data from my machine?
We erase and sanitize everything on the hard-drives and devices that store data-- We do not remove the items or store them anywhere. Once we erase the files or documents they are gone.
When you remove my files, documents and data off my machine, can I get a copy.
No. Once we take it any device to be recycled possession, we take full responsibility. We do not share that information. We would suggest grabbing that information off your aching prior to e-recycling.
If I can’t turn my computer on will you still make sure the data is erased before recycling?
Yes, all of the devices we collect go through the same rigorous data security process
Do you save any personal data you find on computers or laptops recycled?
We do not collect or save any information on items recycled with our company
Do you accept printers?
Yes, we accept commercial printers, as well as home printers.
Can I recycle plugs and wires?
Southeastern Data will properly recycle any plugs, adapters, wires, cables and connectors.
Do you accept CDs, DVD or USBs?
Should I include the manuals or disks my device originally came with?
Sure, we’d be happy to recycle that material for you.
What is e-waste?
Where do you take the electronics or computers for recycling?
To a Southeastern Data E-Recycling Facility for processing IT Asset Management, Recycling or Reuse.
Who picks up the items, and where does it go?
An employee of Southeastern Data will collect the material. Depending on the day, the material is then transported to a Southeastern Data facility
Will I receive a receipt or certificate for recycling?
If you are a business recycling separately, yes, but for the Earth Day e-recylcing event, we will provide one recycling receipt for all of the material collected during the event.
Will I get a receipt for tax purposes?

How long have you been in business?
I have a very large TV that is too heavy for me to pick up will you pick-up from my house and recycle it?
NO, we do not make residential e-recycling pick-ups
