Recycling with a Purpose
At Southeastern Data, we don't just believe in giving back to the environment, we believe in giving back to the community. For this reason, Southeastern Data developed a fund raising program to help support non-profits in our community. Listed below are just a sample of those we support.
Through a unique partnership with A Gift For Teaching (AGFT), Southeastern Data will take your unwanted or discarded electronic items such as computers and printers, recycle and remarket them, and donate a percentage of that revenue back to AGFT to help children in our community.
AGFT is Central Florida’s primary provider of the resources and tools that enable children to dream, create, express themselves, problem solve, and experience a sense of accomplishment. Since its creation in 1998, AGFT connects with the community and transfers surplus supplies and merchandise to go directly into the hands of struggling students. At AGFT’s educational supply store, local teachers “shop” for free for essential supplies. The organization has provided students more than $57 million of donated educational supplies and serves 324 public schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.
The National Center for Simulation (NCS) is a non-profit company that supports the Modeling, Simulation and Training (MS&T) Industry. Incorporated in 1994, NCS serves as a link between government, industry and academia and serves as an advocate for MS&T technology expansion, education, and business development support to government, industry and academic communities. Our vision is to be the internationally recognized leader in supporting and expanding the MS&T community. NCS membership includes private industry, academic institutions and other non-profit organizations and government affiliated members throughout the United States and International community engaged in MS&T, although the vast majority of NCS business activity is focused in Orlando, Central Florida and the Florida High Tech Corridor because of the significant concentration of MS&T activity in that region.
